On September 18 and 19 are held in the Auditorium of the Universidad Nacional de Piura the first Congress in Piura Novoandina Kitchen, organized by the Center for dining and gourmet cuisine du Nord.
Among the exponents were Cucho La Rosa, who is one of the creators the Andean cuisine and celebrity chefs such as Flavio Solorzano (Sulco Manor Restaurant), Martin Gamarra (Gourmet du Nord), Reto Steinnemann (Swissotel), Nilo Do Carmo, Pedro Schiaffino (The Malabar), Julius Coz, Carlos Merino, Jose Lujan and Paolo Salvatore.
The congress was attended by hundreds of students who love food and cooking. According to Pablo Cesar Gamarra, manager of the Gourmet du Nord School, this first conference aims to disseminate Andean cuisine using local produce and experience to become more sophisticated.
