"Can Chile is a country without poverty?"
On Tuesday 13 October, opened the twelfth version of the Chair in Social Leadership Alberto Hurtado, who this year is entitled: "Can a country without poverty Chile?.
The inaugural session was attended by Fernando Montes SJ Rector and Chaplain of Un Techo Para Chile, Felipe Berrios SJ, who welcomed over 150 young people from different study houses crowd the lecture hall. Francisca Márquez, anthropologist, and Rodrigo Herrera, head of social information systems MIDEPLAN, were invited to the first session entitled "New forms of poverty and exclusion." The Lecture is organized by the Centre for Reflection and Social Action (BELIEVE) of UAH and the Social Research Center (CIS) of A Roof for Chile. Since its inception in 1998, his goal has been to provide a space for reflection and learning on a topic of social relevance, calling on experts from the political scene, academic and social life to speak to college students on the country that we dream and how we can help achieve it. Alberto Hurtado the Chair of this year consist de 6 sesiones, una por semana, desde el 13 de octubre hasta el 13 de Noviembre. Para la entrega del certificado de participación es preciso asistir al menos a 5 de las seis sesiones.
